Dr. Liza Kanter, D.M.D. is a Miami native whose passion for dentistry was born at a young age in her mother’s dental practice, Dr. Andrea Diamond . She graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelors in Chemistry. After spending a year in novel vaccine research at the National Institutes of Health in Washington D.C., she then received her dental degree from the University of Florida College of Dentistry.

During her dental education, Dr. Kanter led her class as Class President and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. Alongside her curriculum, Dr. Kanter worked on quality studies for dental implant longevity. She was also presented with multiple awards and accolades including; the Hu-Friedy Golden Scaler Award, American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology Award, L.D. Pankey Institute Annual Student Award, and the Dr. William S. Kramer Award of Excellence.

Dr. Kanter is an active member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. She actively pursues dental continuing education to stay up-to-date on the newest dental research to give her patients the best individualized care. Dr. Kanter is excited to carry on her mother’s legacy of providing excellent dental care to the Miami area. She is dedicated to treating her patients with respect, compassion, and gentle care to assist them in maintaining a healthy & beautiful smile for a lifetime.

Outside of the office, Dr. Kanter enjoys spending time with her family and friends, getting outdoors, practicing yoga, or reading a good book.
